On-The-Job Training

Purpose:	To educate the underprivileged who has a desire to rebuild their lives and give to the community and become productive citizens in society.
Strategy:	Big Al's Apprenticeship Program is design to train and show the trainees how to conduct themselves in the flooring business with customers and contractors.
Course Description:	Big Al's OJT and Training Program is an 18 month program with 3 months of classroom instruction and 15 months of actual On-the-Job Training. Graduate will receive a Certificate License and be listed with our affiliates as graduate entrepreneurs.
Classroom Instruction (3 months) 1. Envelope Communication Skills 2. Develop TeamWork Skills 3. Learn how to measure Flooring Areas 4. Learn How to do Invoices, File Taxes, Receipts, and Response Letters 5. Learn how to do Follow-up Complaints 6. Evaluate Personal Property Responsibility 7. Learn about Insurance/Claims Field Training (15 months) 1. Removing Old Carpet 2. Cleaning Floors 3. Wood Floor Tacking Strip 4. Concrete Floor Tacking Strip 5. Pad Cutting 6. Developed Teamwork 7. Wood Floor Padding 8. Concrete Floor Padding 9. Carpet Cutting a. Plush b. BerBer c. Karastan d. Commercial e. Indoor/Outdoor f. Pattern Matching 10. Carpet Installation 11. Steps Training (all types of specialized steps) 12. Metal (all types) 13. Monagrams Field Training may require installation on Yachts, Boats, Commercial property and in Homes. * All students during field training will receive 5.75hr with an 8-10hr average work day and approximately 3-5 day work week.
