SmartWeb Solutions collects user information in the following processes:
Chat Sessions
Visitors to our website may, from time to time, engage in a chat session with a SmartWeb Solutions agent. This chat session may be
initiated either by the user or by the agent who may invite a visitor for a chat. The chat session is a one-on-one chat between the visitor
and the SmartWeb Solutions site operator. Any information provided volutarily during such chat session may be collected on the SmartWeb
Solutions database. Such information will be used to provide better service to returning visitors and to get a better understanding for the
needs of our clients.
Technical Support Form(s)/Contact Us Form(s)
In order to provide our clients and visitors with knowledgeable technical support, SmartWeb Solutions requires users to provide information
via a form that assists in defining and clarifying their technical support needs. When submitting such a form (whether it be a Technical Support
Form and/or a Contact Us Form), users may be asked to provide the personally identifiable information, such as: e-mail address, name,
phone number, URL of their site, reason for contact, and to describe the issue. This information is used for no other purpose than to
provide more personal customer care. Email sent via our Technical Support Form and/or Contact Us Form is kept only for problem solving purposes.
WebQuote Request Form
We request information from visitors and clients on our WebQuote Request form. Here a user must provide contact information (such as name, company
name, email, telephone) and detailed information about the type of services desired. This informtion is used for needs analysis and to provide the
client or visitor with an estimate for services desired via email and/or by phone. It is also used to contact the user should we need further clarification.
Registration
SmartWeb Solutions has two types of Registration:
User Registration
When any user (clients and visitors) visit our website for the first time, SmartWeb Solutions uses a cookie to store a unique, random user ID. We do not
store passwords or any personal information about you. We use this ID to identify you anonymously in our database and to track the pages you visited
on our site and the chat sessions you engaged in. If you have set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning
message with each cookie. You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. However, this may limit some of the areas you are able to visit
on our website, such as Client-Only Registration.
Client-Only Registration
As a value-added service (free of charge), we offer clients who are currently contracted with us the ability to register with our website
in order to confidentially access up-to-date information regarding their project and "work in progress". During this registration, a user is required to give
their contact information (name, company name, email). This information is used to grant access to a secured area of our website where
the client may access confidential information regarding their project. It is also used to contact the client with a randomly assigned password for access
to this secured area. In case a user has forgotten his/her password, this information is also used to provide the user with password information.
Tell-A-Friend
If a user elects to use our referral service to "tell-a-friend" about our site, we ask them for their email, their friend's name, and their friend's email address. SmartWeb
Solutions will then automatically send a one-time only e-mail inviting them to visit our site. This information is not stored in our database and is not used for
any other purpose.
Usage Tracking Through Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses
are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information, such as a User ID,
that the site uses to track the pages you've visited. Nevertheless, the only personal information a cookie can contain is informaiton you supply yourself.
A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. SmartWeb Solutions uses cookies to identify repeat visitors and
registered Clients who have been granted Client-Only access to secured areas of our website. This allows us to provide a better level of service
to all our visitors.
